Some Advice on Real Estate Professionals Going Green

Going Green is the fad these days. Everyone likes to say that they are going green. It can even be said that it is fashionable to say that you are environment friendly and also that you are reducing your carbon footprint. Real estate agents all over the world were once the people who used to cause a lot of environmental damage either directly or indirectly. The materials that they used for the close of sales of building used to cause waste of paper. The amount of paper work that was involved in the process of planning and implementation of the projects could also cause a lot of waste and environmental degeneration.

Real estate agents
have come a long way from this situation and have reduced their carbon footprint to a large extent. There are a few more methods of reducing the carbon footprint and they are listed here.

1. Using environment friendly materials: the use of electronic means of communication with potential clients has been a major improvement in the decreased wastage of paper. The most important and primary method is the reduction in the wastage due to faxing clients. Fax uses a lot of paper that goes waste. Using internet, telephone and e mails have reduced paper wastage for faxing.
2. Storage system: The storage system used previously consisted of paper and files. These days, the use of electronic methods to use the storage has been able to save huge amounts of paper. Electronic filing and storing can be done with Compact discs, online methods of storage and also external hard disks.
3. Training materials: There is a reduction in the training materials as that too has become electronic and there is a reduction in the use of paper in training programs.

The other methods that are used in reducing carbon footprint and becoming environment friendly include the use of smart phones and reducing courier services.
