The architecture of China focuses on earth construction, stone carving and piling and timberworks. The usual frameworks used in Chinese structures are timbers. Posts and beams are made of timbers. The usual separators of the different rooms seen in a regular Chinese building are walls which seem to be not affected with the weight of the entire house or building. Aside from the general factors of Chinese fashion architecture, there are also different other styles that manifest the Chinese way of structuring. Some styles are based on religions while some are based on the themes of the styles themselves. Some of the styles of the Chinese architecture include imperial architecture, Buddhist and Taoist architecture, garden architecture and Chinese temples-oriented styles.

The imperial architecture shows grandness and richness of the Chinese culture. It provides royalty aura and atmosphere and seems to provide all the luxuries that royalties uphold. Moreover, the Buddhist architecture demonstrates then Buddhist religion. This architecture is famous for its calligraphy, pagodas and grottos. This architectural style promotes holiness and the like. The same holiness is experiences from the Taoist and Chinese temples-oriented architectural styles. The Taoist and Buddhist styles manifest their own beliefs and principles with their architectures. Some of these Chinese temples aside from Buddhist and Taoist are Islam mosques and Confucius temples.

Another factor that Chinese architects consider is the Chinese culture. And one of the most famous Chinese-related traditions that architects make use of and consider in building structures is Feng Shui. The principle of Feng Shui circles more on the harmony of nature and human, Yin and Yang balance and the five elements’ reaction toward one another.

Chinese architecture is truly a combination of all the aspects of Chinese culture. The beauty of Chinese architecture magnifies not only with the brilliant principles but also with the richness of the culture incorporated with it.
